The head of the Institute is the Director. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced in the areas like economics, finance, and management. The faculty team is closely associated with the professionals in the securities industry, to conceive, design, and offer market oriented modules as well as enriching their courses. Besides, the Institute's faculty team has produced impressive research publications and has undertaken a number of advisory assignments.

Dr.M. Thiripal Raju, Professor & In charge of IICM, worked as Economic Adviser to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Has obtained Ph.D. from IIT, Mumbai. The title of Ph.D. thesis is "Behaviour of Securities (Equity, Preference and Debentures) Prices in India". Worked with many premier institutions, starting with the Bombay Stock Exchange. Worked as a faculty member of National Institute for Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai.

Has published number of research papers in repute national and international journals and periodicals.

Member of a Committee set up by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), an apex regulatory body for Securities Industry for 'Certificate for Standards in Financial Services Industry'. Member of the Expert Group to develop Diploma Programme on Capital Market Operations by the School of Management Studies of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi; Member on the Board of Studies of Finance, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (deemed University); Member of Advisory Board of Institute of Company Secretaries of India to look into Post-membership Course on Capital Markets and Financial Services; Member of Advisory Committee of Master of Financial Services set up by department of Commerce, Goa University.

Acquired many professional Certificates by attending courses at New York Institute of Finance and visited various securities exchanges including New York Stock Exchange, Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Chicago Board of Options. Visited Shanghai Stock Exchange, Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Singapore Stock Exchange and Simex. Represented USAID team to USA in 1993. He has been a consultant to many private and public sector organisations in India. Completed consultancies for some of the international organisations including USAID, Abt Associates etc. He had offered consultancy services to Over-the-Counter Exchange of India (OTCEI). Conducted ten-day training programme for the fund managers' of Egypt at Cairo, Egypt, on behalf of Cairo Funds Management and Export Development Bank of Egypt.
